Arthur Quesnay is a Middle East Analyst and Editor. He has worked on Iraq since 2009 and Syria since 2011, and worked in Libya between 2011 and 2013.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science and has taught at Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he is currently a Junior Research Fellow of the ERC « Social Dynamics of Civil Wars » program. From 2012 to 2014 he held a scholarship from the Institut Français du Proche-Orient (IFPO) in Erbil. He holds a BA in Arabic from INALCO and a Master’s in Political Science (2009-2011) from Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
Since 2009, his research focuses on sectarian conflits in northern Iraq and rebel movements in Libya and Syria. He co-edited, with Adam Baczko and Gilles Dorronsoro, Syrie : anatomie d’une guerre civile, (CNRS Editions, 2016.)
