Noria’s South Asia Program (SAProg) was founded in 2014. Our goal is to contribute to a better understanding of contemporary political, social and strategic dynamics across South Asia, a region which attracts growing interest from a variety of public actors. The program aims at maintaining strong ties between field-based empirical research, rigorous analysis, and participation in political decision-making.

SAProg researchers address three core areas:

  1. Processes of state building
  2. Foreign and security policy-making
  3. Minorities and diasporas

In order to foster cutting-edge and transdisciplinary expertise, the South Asia Program is firmly committed to collective work. Through research projects, conferences and publications, we are building a dynamic network of South Asia specialists. You can contact us via mail.
