Roma Casamitjana completed her master in Political science and International relations at Paris Pantheon Sorbonne University (Paris 1). She is curetly enrolled in a Hindi language program at INALCO (Paris).
She specialized in South Asian studies during her cursus. Her first research tackled issues related to the post-war situation of the tamil diaspora. She focused on the political structure and social dynamics of young tamil generations in France.
Her actual research deals with hindu nationalism (Hindutva), through the social, political and electoral dynamics of the states of Tripura and Meghalaya, in the north-east of India.
