Diana Manrique Ascencio is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology at the UNAM.

Her research focuses on the social processes of indigenous territories and rural communities in Mexico. She has been working on different projects of community education, gender, identities and indigenous territorialities. She has been working in the state of Michoacán, mainly in the indigenous Nahuas, Mazahua-otomí and Purépecha regions.
