Research Area: Central Eurasia
Jan Tomek is an MLitt student of “Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asian Security Studies” at University of St Andrews and graduate of the SciencesPo Paris – Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) dual degree Masters’ programme in “International Affairs: International Security”. His areas of academic interest include regional politics and issues of identity, security and development in Central Eurasia (Anatolia, the Caucasus, Iran and Central Asia). His current objective is to start doctoral research focusing on Iran’s regional policy vis-à-vis its northwestern and northeastern neighbourhood.
